The Early Steps to School Success (ESSS) program is a grant-based, school readiness initiative designed to empower and equip parents preparing their children to excel in their education career. The Save the Children organization created the United States' program to include home visits to provide and prepare parents with the tools necessary to promote brain development, literacy, and love of learning in children age birth to age three as well as promote and support emergent literacy skills through a book exchange for children three to five years of age. Parent-child groups will be held monthly to add additional support and resources for parents of young children within our community.
